 This is a great pre-hike breakfast place, as it opens every day at 6:00am. What delighted me on my first visit was the homemade toast: it had the most delicious flavor and texture, with a nice crunch on the outside. The restaurant also uses homemade bread in its French Toast (try it with the raisin bread - delish!) On Sunday the breakfast brunch is very popular. I will be back whenever I'm in the area. Can't wait to try it for lunch!

My wife and I have been traveling up North for many years. On our last trip we noticed that Welsh's Restaurant had re-opened. We stopped in to try it out, they have always had great food in the past. We sat down and it only took about a minute before a waitress asked us if we would like some coffee. She came back with our cups right away and that was surprising considering the place had quite a few people eating. She took our order and within ten minutes our food was on the table. I had the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream and my wife had the meat lovers omlette and you could have fed two people with the darn thing it was so big and stuffed with meat. After we finished eating I had to tell the waitress that my waffle was about the best I've ever had.....hands down. My wife said that she never had an omlette with meat like that before. She said the ham and sausage were delicious not to mention the homade bread. We left after paying our check but will soon return. I just can't say enough nice things about Welsh's. The food, the service and most of all the prices. We both recommend stopping in if you get a chance. You won't be sorry.

(More) Best breakfast we ever had, service was pleasant, prices are on target for the quality of thier food. Tried eating at Crabby Jacks the day before and it was terrible. It took an hour for our food and it was cold when we finally got it. Welsh's is where you want to go when in the Gorham area of the White Mountains.

I just want to say, for $8.95 you will have the best brunch ever at Welsh's restaurant in Gorham NH. Me and my entire family have been going there whenever we get the chance. The food is top notch and the service is warm and friendly. The restrooms are very clean as is the dinning room. Try one of the made to order omlets cooked to perfection by Chef Marty or a delicious cinnamon waffle covered with strawberries and whipped cream. This brunch leaves nothing to be desired and has earned the highest possible score. Next time your in the white Mountains give them a try, I garauntee you will love the food and most of all, the prices!

We happened to stumble onto our favorite breakfast place in Gorham. Welsh's had just reopened with new owners. The restaurant has been there for over 100 years! I have so many memories there. They serve breakfast all day, and let me tell you..you don't leave hungry! All of there food is home cooked and there is a lot of it, you get the most for your money!

You need to try it!
